Alwin Ng is a problem solver at heart. As a highly curious
individual and a solution-oriented person, Alwin is always
interested to understand how things work.

Alwin graduated with Mechanical Engineering from Imperial
College London and was fortunate enough to gain exposure to
industrial projects even before graduation. Upon graduation, he
started his career at Rolls Royce PLC, UK. As part of the Graduate
Programme, Alwin had the opportunity and exposure to
experience how a global engineering company was managed.

Meanwhile, with some spare time, Alwin started his first e-shop on
eBay. He started off with selling fashion apparels before gradually
moving towards electronic devices and gadgets. It was on eBay
that Alwin learnt web programming like html and basic inventory
management. Alwin went on to become an eBay powerseller (one
of eBay’s top rated seller rankings).

In 2008, after joining Barclays Bank PLC, the Sub Prime Mortgage
crisis became official – one of the largest financial crises in history.
Alwin, with his combined technical and finance background,
became the system go-to person for data related investigation.

Eventually, Alwin was trained as an SAP as well as a Hyperion
(Oracle) superuser.

As part of the crisis, Alwin was also involved in migration projects
where he was assigned to prepare Standard Operating Procedures
(SOP) that would be used for setting up the team in India (as
Barclays migrated their service centres in India). That also allowed
Alwin to coordinate and implement process improvements and
business process re-engineering principles.

Since Alwin left the banking sector, he has personally built more
than 10 websites, 1 online academy and sold multiple e-products
(including an e-book that is sold on Amazon since 2014 – and still
selling) as his personal business venture.

After living in the UK for 11 years, Alwin returned to Malaysia as
part of the Talentcorp’s “Returning Expert Programme”.
